Scot Turner Celebrates Georgia Pre-K in Towne Lake

Turner will visit The Goddard School to celebrate Georgia Pre-K Week, which starts on Monday.

Georgia House Representative Scot Turner (R-Holly Springs) will visit four year old students in Towne Lake as part of the state celebrating Georgia Pre-K Week. 

Turner, who was elected in November, will be among 150 leaders participating in Georgia Pre-K Week, which is coordinated by Voices for Georgia's Children and its Pre-K Week partners. 

Turner on Oct. 2 will visit The Goddard School of Woodstock between 9 a.m. until roughly 10:30 a.m. The school is located at 3115 Parkbrooke Circle, Woodstock, GA 30189.

While there, Turner will read to students, tour the school and talk with staff to get a live view of how this and other facilities are preparing children for the classroom. 

September 30-October 4 is the state’s official Pre-K Week, hosted by Voices for Georgia’s Children.

"We know that early childhood education is critical to future success, and preparing for elementary school is an important part of life for a child from birth through age five," said Vanessa Zaczek, Education Director at the Woodstock institution. "We are thrilled to be honoring our some of our youngest learners this week, and proud of what our state is accomplishing through Georgia’s Pre-K program."
