Chiropractic Office Rebuilds After Car Slams Into Windows

While the Towne Lake community was consumed by the news of an armed robbery at Play N Trade, a medical office just down the road was greeted with another Sunday morning surprise.

A Lexus SUV slammed into the windows of Discover Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, located at 2295 Towne Lake Parkway Suite 112. 

"Luckily we were closed and were not here," said office manager Tracie Blankstein. 

Blankstein said a man and woman were in the SUV and the woman, who was behind the wheel, mistakenly pressed the gas instead of the brake pedal. 

No one was hurt in the accident, which took out three single windows, the waiting area and Blankstein's desk. 

Woodstock police received the call about the accident just moments after it received the armed robbery call, so Cherokee County dispatchers transferred the call to Georgia State Patrol. 

Blankstein said they hope to have all repairs completed so they can reopen the office in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, business is still accepting and treating patients out of its Kennesaw office, located at 3940 Cherokee Street Suite 402. 

All calls to the Towne Lake facility are being rerouted to the Kennesaw office as well.
