Nominate Your Future Leaders of Cherokee County

Nominations are being accepted for the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Cherokee program.

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for its Leadership Cherokee Class of 2014.

Sponsored each year by the chamber, Leadership Cherokee has seen more than 500 graduates since the program’s inception in 1987.

“Leadership Cherokee produces experienced leaders for business, civic and political roles in our community," said Randy Gravley, WLJA 101.1 FM/Enjoy! Cherokee Magazine, and 2013 Chamber Chair. "Monthly programs for the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2014 will focus on a variety of topics such as education, justice, infrastructure, public safety, healthcare, government and social/human services."

Nominations for the program will be accepted through Oct. 1. Following the application and interview process, the class will be chosen in November. 

The cost for the nine-month program, which starts in January and ends in September, will be $675 for Chamber members and $825 for non-members. The fee also includes a one- year individual chamber membership for non-members).
