Northside Cherokee Delays Ribbon Cutting on Medical Office Building

The ribbon cutting is now set for Sept. 10 in Woodstock.

Northside Hospital-Cherokee won't cut the ribbon on its new medical office building in Woodstock until September.

The hospital has delayed the ribbon cutting for the building on Towne Lake Parkway just west of I-575 11 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 10.

"Some services and physician practices are already open inside the new building and more are moving in," said Northside Hospital Spokeswoman Katherine Watson.
"Only the ribbon cutting was delayed."

The 100,817 square-foot facility is located on the former site of the Madison Pointe commercial and residential development at the corner of I-575 and Towne Lake Parkway.

The company purchased the 8-acre tract on May 25, 2012, and broke ground on the facility in October. The building is being constructed and will be managed by Duke Realty.

The new building is located roughly four miles from its Northside/Holly Springs facility on Sixes Road and about 11 miles from the campus of its replacement 84-bed facility along Commerce Boulevard in Canton.

The building will have surface parking with 159 slots and a three-story parking deck with an additional 350 parking spaces.
