Northside Cuts Ribbon On Towne Lake Medical Facility

The Northside Hospital's four-story medical office building has over 100,000 square feet of space.

Northside Hospital officially opened its new medical office building on Towne Lake Parkway on Tuesday.

The four-story building, called Norhside-Cherokee/Towne Lake, is 100,797 square feet and is located on the former site of the Madison Pointe mixed-use development in Woodstock.

Various Woodstock and Cherokee County elected officials and business leaders were on hand for the ribbon cutting, which also included an informal tour of the facility.

Billy Hayes, CEO of Northside Hosptial-Cherokee, said the company is proud to open the new facility in southern Cherokee County.

"We look forward to offering additional health care services throughout Cherokee and the surrounding communities, with the long-anticipated replacement hospital soon to be under construction," he added in a press release.

Hayes is referring to the replacement Northside Hospital-Cherokee, which will be located in Canton along Northside-Cherokee Boulevard between Highways 20 and 140.

The Towne Lake facility has 159 surface parking spaces and a three-story parking deck with an additional 350 parking spaces.

Some of the medical practices slated to open up shop include urology, an ENT practice, surgery, primary care and cardiology.

Northside will also offer a full-fledge imaging center, laboratory services and an urgent care component.

Woodstock Mayor Donnie Henriques also praised the project, specifically the collaboration between the city, Cherokee County, Duke Realty (the company leading medical office space) and Northside Hospital.

"The number of great jobs the new medical office building will provide is a strong boost for the Woodstock-Towne Lake area," he added.
