Woodstock Kroger To Get Fuel Sales

A fuel station will be constructed at Kroger's store on Highway 92 at Trickum Road.

A grocery chain in Woodstock will soon add a fuel station at one of its stores.

The Woodstock City Council on Monday approved a conditional use permit request from Kroger to build a gas/fuel station at its store at 12050 Highway 92.

The station will be on the front part of its site, which is 7.3 acres.

According to plans submitted by the company, Kroger is proposing to build a fuel station with seven multi-pump dispensers.

It's plans also call for a kiosk with a restroom, but no public access inside the building. It also plans to have outdoor merchandizing/displays, which will be brought inside or locked at night.

When the station closes, most of its lights will be turned off, excluding security lights, according to plans given to the city.

The plans also call for the station to use 75 of the existing 341 parking spaces, resulting in the store having 266 spaces allotted for vehicles.

No timeline has been made public on construction and when the station will open.
