Woodstock Outlet Mall Opens Today

A ribbon cutting is planned for 10 a.m. today at the development, located along Ridgewalk Parkway just east of I-575 in Woodstock.

The long awaited Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Woodstock will finally open to the public today.

A ribbon cutting for the development is set for 10 a.m. today. The outlet mall is located along Ridgewalk Parkway just east of Interstate 575, directly off the new Exit 9 interchange.

The city of Woodstock on Wednesday informed residents to expect heavy traffic flow today and throughout the weekend of the grand opening.

Customers will only be able to access the outlet mall either directly from Ridgewalk Parkway or from the roundabout along Woodstock Parkway at Rope Mill Road, which is located on the back part of the outlet mall.

"Upon entering the shopping area, all traffic will travel in a counter clock-wise direction," City Manager Jeff Moon said in a statement. "Offsite parking, with a shuttle, will be available just past the Ridgewalk Parkway/Woodstock Parkway intersection on the south side of Ridgewalk Parkway."

Residents and motorists should also expect the city to soon install traffic signals at the entrance and exit ramps at the new interchange. Moon said Woodstock was initially denied a request by the Georgia Department of Transportation to install the signals, but they recently received approval from GDOT to move forward with the installation.

The city expects the lights to be installed in late August or early September as "a key component of the signals was backordered."

Woodstock Police and private security will both be on hand to help guide residents when needed.

The 370,000-square-foot outlet mall will be stocked with some of the widely known brands and designer outlets such as Adidas, American Eagle, Auntie Anne’s, GH Bass & Co., Calphalon, Chao Praya, Chicken Now, Chico’s, Clarks, Coach, Crabtree & Evelyn, Crocs, Fossil, Fragrance Outlet, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Hartstrings, Johnston & Murphy, Jones New York, Juicy Couture, Kasper, Kate Spade, Lane Bryant, Lenscrafters, Lids, Lids Locker Room, Little Tokyo, Loft Outlet, Luggage Factory, Naturalizer, Papaya, Skechers, Sunglass Warehouse, The Children’s Place, Tommy Hilfiger, True Religion, Ultra Diamonds, Van Heusen and Yankee Candle.

The development will feature covered walkways, landscaped court yards and will blend traditional features with other features such as a children's play area.

A center court area will be complete with fountains and a fire place and the site overall will be able to accommodate an additional 30,000 square feet of outlet mall space.
