Gwinnett Medical Center Enters Pink Glove Contest – Duluth Patch

For a second year in a row, Gwinnett Medical Center is throwing its pink gloves in the ring for Medline Industries' annual contest aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer.

The clinical staff put together its video for the Pink Glove Dance Competition with no assistance from the hospital's marketing department. It features hundreds of hospital employees, volunteers and physicians "honoring the breast cancer survivors we serve," the team said in its contest statement. See Duluth Patch for more on this story.

Mediation resumed this morning between leaders with the City of Cumming and Forsyth County on the raw water supply that the city provides to the county, for a price.

The 25-year contract that governed the price and amount of water the city sells to the county expired in May. Cumming Mayor Ford Gravitt said the city not sell raw water at the old rate of 10 cents per 1,000 gallons without a signed contract.

Woodstock Police To Residents: Lock Your Vehicles - Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch

The Woodstock Police Department is encouraging its residents to lock their vehicles and remove all valuables from their cars after recent reports of entering autos in a subdivision. 

The notice, issued Monday evening, stated the department "has recently begun to see a rise in entering autos during the overnight hours where suspects are entering into unlocked vehicles and garages." See Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch for more info.

Get Online for Bond Info Town Hall Tuesday Night – Roswell Patch

The city of Roswell will hold a "virtual" town hall meeting online tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., about the bond referendum on the general election ballot.

Early voting has already begun and the city is hoping to provide some further clarity regarding its .

Superintendent Hosts Community Connections Session - Marietta Patch

Marietta City Schools (MCS) Superintendent, Dr. Emily Lembeck, will host Community Connectionson Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
