Residents can visit the Georgia Secretary of State's website for instructions on how to register.

Woodstock voters on Election Day will have the choice of Ward 1 candidates Warren Johnson and John Szczesniak, Ward 3 incumbent Bob Mueller and challenger Judy Davila and Ward 5 incumbent Bud Leonard and challenger Susan Jones.

Woodstock Mayor Donnie Henriques is running unopposed for a third term.

Early voting will start at the elections office on Monday Oct. 14 and will continue through Oct. 18 and resume Oct. 21-25. Voters throughout the county can cast ballots between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the office.

Advanced voting will expand to the Woodstock Public Library in conjunction with the elections office Oct. 28-Nov. 1 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Voting during election day, where Woodstock voters will vote at their assigned city precincts, will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 5.

Woodstock and Towne Lake residents who reside in Senate District 14 will also choose who will be their next state senator.

Nesmith of Adairsville, Republican Dwight Pullen of Canton, Republican Dean Sheridan of Acworth in southwest Cherokee County and Republican Bruce Thompson of White.
