A Successful Arts Partnership

Character Teas bring the performing and culinary arts together in Woodstock.

"It's her, Mommy! It's Cinderella!"

Yes, Cinderella made an appearance at last Friday to a packed restaurant of moms, daughters and grandmas. It was pure magic.

Delicious food, dressed up young ladies - some as Cinderella 'mini-mes' - and a host of other characters from the famous fairy tale made for a delightful afternoon of make believe.

"May we take a picture with you, Cinderella?"

Cameras were everywhere along with smiling faces, sugar, spice and everything nice.

Court Dancers Delbin and Daphne found a bit of space to teach the new royal minuet to interested tea partiers.

"...and 1,2,3...1,2,3....point, point, point.....down, up!"

Owner Kim Jordy and her wonderful staff were able to keep up with the many tea pots, tea trays and weaving among the dancing characters to provide snappy and friendly service to everyone.

So....who would you like to see at a character tea? Sleeping Beauty? Alice?   Dorothy? The Little Mermaid? Pretty much any character from literature or fairy tales is able to pop out of our costume closets at Elm Street!

"But, mommy, I want to stay!"

"We'll come back another time, honey, don't worry! This was just marvelous!"

"Yeah!"
