Encore Awards Night at Elm Street

Elm Street celebrates the past season and announces the upcoming one.

Casts and crews from the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village 2010-11 season gathered for an evening of memories, comedy and recognition July 30. The Teen Actors Guild led by Education Director Siobhan Brumbelow put together video clips, food, decorations, awards, songs and skits with wonderful results.

Highlights of the evening:

Ross Ruda receiving his award for Outstanding Ensemble Member in a Musical (for Hello, Dolly!) and hugging as many people as he could on his way back to his seat.

Mr. Jim Miller of Woodstock receiving a medal for his generosity toward Elm Street through both financial support and his consistent presence in the audience at our shows.

Jim, Cindy and Britt Flanders receiving medals for their ongoing volunteerism creating, painting and decorating sets. (Jim Harkins was also recognized though he was at a different awards event for his daughter Meg!)

Box Office Manager Lesley LaRicci receiving a medal for her hard work as staff member, volunteer and stage parent and Amy Noel Welch, resident musical director, receiving a medal for providing Elm Street musicals a one woman band.

“Season in a Minute” spoofing shows from the season in rapid succession brought the house down with Torie Winkler sporting a ‘Ms. Grooms Artistic Director’ style wild grey wig.

Recognition of three TAG members who quietly spent many extra hours volunteering through the season–Drew Alfieri, Elise Hardin and Savannah Milligan.

The iThink Improv Troupe with Byron Harvey, Joey Lemmo, Siobhan Brumbelow, Taryn Chidebelu-Eze and Kristin Storla provided insane hilarity between awards segments.

A preview of the season opener “Nunsense” with Erin Mather Wilson, Siobhan Brumbelow, Taryn Chidebelu-Eze, Layne Livingston, G. Lora Grooms and Amy Noel Welch performing “Clean Out the Freezer.”

And the 2011-12 season was announced by Siobhan Brumbelow:
