Free Christmas Show

A free Christmas show on December 1st and more shows through Christmas Eve at Elm Street.

Three different Christmas plays will light up the stage at Elm Street this season, starting with a special free performance!

Elm Street is so grateful to the community and civic leaders of Woodstock and Cherokee for their support the past decade.   Our yearly thank you to everyone is "The Lazy Elves" which will have a free performance at 2pm on Saturday December 1st, before the Woodstock Lighted Jubilee Parade.

Families may attend the show, enjoy the shops and restaurants and then the parade.  Canned goods donations for Papas Pantry will be collected, as always, and there is especially a need for stew, chili, chunky soup and peanut butter.

Other performances of "Elves" will be at 2pm on December 8, 15, and 22, discounted tickets online are $10 and include sales tax.  And, we actually have Santa Claus starring in our show who will be available following performances to hear children's Christmas wishes, so be sure to bring a camera!

If you can't decide which of the three Christmas shows you'd like to see, just attend one show and you may return to see another for half price.  City Center Auditorium holds a few hundred people, so there are always seats available.   A new sound system has been installed by PDH Systems of Kennesaw with seven speakers and zone microphones to enhance the experience for our patrons.

Next to open will be "A Christmas Carol" on Saturday December 8th at 7:30pm starring local baritone Scott Estep as Ebeneezer Scrooge.  Additional performances of "Carol" are at 2pm on Sunday December 9, 16 & 24 and at 7:30pm on December 22nd.  Also featured in this production are Chris Hotz and Jennifer Moerschel as Bob & Mrs. Cratchit, Darrell Meek and Samantha Kuzian as Fred and Alice, Cary Frickes as Jacob Marley, Savannah Milligan as Ghost of Christmas Past, Benjamin Norman as Ghost of Christmas Present and Olivia Smith as Future.  Seeing this great story on Christmas Eve is a delightful family experience that many of our patrons return for year after year.

"It's a Wonderful Life" stars Brad Leak of Woodstock as George Bailey.   Joe Morrison plays, Clarence, the bumbling guardian angel and Mike Jenks plays the dreadful Mr. Potter.  This story reminds us all that we impact the lives of others and everyone is important. Performances will be December 14, 15 & 21 at 7:30pm and December 23 at 2pm.
