Woodstock Vocalists to Star in Concert

The Usual Suspects is a professional 17-piece Big Band in the tradition of the Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller Big Bands Taryn and Maduka Chidebelu-Eze.

Last year when Woodstock resident and singer/songwriter Taryn Chidebelu-Eze sang with The Usual Suspects Big Band of Atlanta, the audience was so thrilled with the performance and the music, they are returning again this summer.  And this time a rich toned baritone will be joining her - Maduka Chidebelu-Eze - her own husband.   With a fabulous blend of classic tunes, chatter and even swing dancing, this band has it all.  They play on the City Center stage – one night only – Saturday July 21st at 7:30pm.   $10 in advance online or $12 at the door.  The Usual Suspects is a professional 17-piece Big Band in the tradition of the Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller Big Bands featuring male and female vocalists.  They play exciting musical arrangements from the golden age of the Big Band era, memory-filled Beach Music, the soul-stirring vibes of Motown as well as today’s favorites!  Born in Memphis and raised in Atlanta, Taryn Chidebelu-Eze has been rooted deeply in the soil of a rich musical heritage.  She has often said that she loves music so much, that it hurts her feelings.Taryn's musical credits include being the first ever vocalist for the North Cobb Jazz Ensemble and founding lead vocalist and songwriter for top requested Christian Jazz quintet,"Invitation", which includes her husband Maduka, father David, brother David T., and friend Ollie.  She is also the Praise and Worship leader at Covenant of Peace Church, where Jazz is the main genre.  When she's not singing, Taryn is a soccer mom of two sons while working outside the home as choreographer, director, and theater arts teacher at Elm Street Cultural Arts Village.  Her favorite pastimes include pretending to be other people in musical theater and, as a member of the Atlanta Swing Era Dance Association, is an avid Swing Dancer.  She's very proud to stand in the "line-up" with The Usual Suspects.
