World Premiere of Snow White at Elm Street

Snow White and the Magic Mirror Premieres at Elm Street.

Elm Street Cultural Arts Village is presenting a world premiere - "Snow White and the Magic Mirror" - a new musical adaptation of the famous Grimm's Fairy Tale. Written and directed by Artistic Director G. Lora Grooms, this stage version has comedy, audience participation and even an important lesson for the young ones about not talking to strangers.

The cast of 21 actors includes Adalee Wiseman of Woodstock as Snow White, Brad Leak as the Mirror and Kara Ratner as the Queen.  Once the Mirror and Snow White become friends, he tries to talk the Queen out of banishing her to the forest, but the Queen has her own plans.  Snow White's woodland friends take her to the cottage of the seven dwarves who have a variety of interests including drawing, singing and working out.  The audience is included in the action several times during the show and even rescue her from one of the Queen's devices. 

Also in the cast are Katie Basford, Barry Reel, Austin Branks as Tina, Horatio and Prince Terrence; Atticus Roness, Charlotte Brown, Beth Leak, Jessica Thomas, Patrick Fagan, Frances Brown, Jonathan Boyett as the Seven Dwarves and Samantha Estep, Dani Mullan, Grace Johnson, Haven Newbold, Theresa Morse, Hailey Elswick, Danielle Goold, Daniella King as Snow Whites Woodland Friends.

Production Staff Volunteers are Costumer Elaine Heinisch, Set Designers Jim and Cindy Flanders assisted by Shannon Sokol, Assistants to the Director are Austin Boyett and Joanna Campagna and Amy Noel Welch is Music Director.

Performances are September 14 & 21 at 7:30pm, Wednesday September 19 at 10am - during Cherokee Schools Fall Break, September 15, 16, 22, 23 at 2pm.  All tickets are $9 in advance online,  $11 at the door. Bring a can of chunky soup, stew or chili to donate to Papa’s Pantry and receive a free beverage at intermission.   www.elmstreetarts.org    678-494-4251
