Adventures in Woodstock High band: Why music matters

Youth is our greatest commodity. The dividends we receive from preparing our young people to live a life of personal fulfillment based on solid values and ethical behavior are beyond compare. One way students can achieve this is through participation in music. At Woodstock High School, optimum music education is available to our area students because of our amazing Woodstock/Towne Lake our community and its support. Without all of you, we would not be able to produce the kind of opportunities Woodstock High School musicians so richly deserve.

Our amazing adventures both  begin and end in May. First, it's the annoucement of our 2013 marching band show - 007 James Bond. It's also the time to meet our newest class of "rookies" and celebrate our seniors as news of music scholarships arrive. The drumline and color guard are formed.  We say goodbye to old friends as gradution takes them to a new phase of life and the school year ends. But there is no time to sit still! Before you know it, practices begin!
