In Memory: Brian Howard Cox, a Sequoyah High Graduate

Cox, 33, a self-employed roofing contractor and a professional fisherman, will be laid to rest today in Woodstock.

Brian Howard Cox, age 33 of White died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, following injuries sustained from an automobile accident. 

Mr. Cox was born in Savannah on October 24, 1980. He graduated in 1999 from Sequoyah High School in Canton.

He was self-employed as a roofing contractor. Brian was a professional fisherman; routinely fishing the ABA Fishing Tournament as well as numerous other tournaments all over the South East. In fact, “If there was water, he was fishing." He also spent many hours of enjoyment teaching kids to fish as well. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 9 years, Allison Towery Cox of White; daughters, Rachel Lou Cox, and Emily Allison Cox both of White; son, Kaleb Brian Cox of White; parents Bobby and Beverly Cox of Woodstock; brothers and sister-in-law Robby and Trina Cox of Woodstock and Brad Cox of Woodstock; father-in-law and mother-in-law Alan and Wanda Towery of Canton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Heather and Mark Miller of Canton and Meredith and Joshua Joiner of Woodstock; six nieces, three nephews; and numerous other relatives and loving friends. 

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 2:01 p.m. (in honor of Brian’s favorite number) on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Dorner will be officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery.

The family received friends on Saturday and will continue today between noon and service time at Lakeside Funeral Home.
