Evelyn Croft Vernon, 82, of Woodstock, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Dover and Rev. Grant Cole officiating.
Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. The family received friends on Sunday at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cliff and Cyril Croft and daughter Debi Cowart. Survivors include her children, Brenda Bagley of Dallas, Cathy Cothern of Woodstock, Steve Brown of Villa Rica, Stanley Brown of Acworth, Scott Brown of Powder Springs, Tommy Brown of Cartersville and Gerald Vernon of Dallas; siblings Martha Mullins of Holly Springs, Betty Williams of Toonigh, Clifton Messer of Holly Springs and Bobby Croft of Toonigh; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
