In Memory: Jacqueline Johnson, a Dedicated Volunteer in Her Community

Johnson, known for her cooking and volunteer activities at church, was buried on Monday at the Georgia National Cemetery.

The following obituary was submitted by Woodstock Funeral Home:

Jacquelin Outlaw Johnson, 70, of Woodstock passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at her residence with her family by her side.

Johnson was born on June 30, 1943, in Ailey, Georgia. She relocated to Atlanta in 1961 to attend business school. In Atlanta she met and later married Edward H. Johnson on June 28, 1964. They have been happily married for 49 years.

Jackie was a dedicated homemaker known for her cooking and volunteer activities in her church and community.

Johnson is survived by her husband Edward H. Johnson; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Greg Johnson; her son and daughter-in law-Mark and Michelle Johnson; her daughter and son-in-law Lynn and Matt Lawson; and seven grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her mother Ruby Mae Outlaw and is survived by her sister Janice Teal. A service of celebration and remembrance was held at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Woodstock Funeral Home and interment followed at the Georgia National Cemetery.
