In Memory: James Schuster, President of Visual Marketing Group

James Brian Schuster, 66 of Woodstock entered into eternal life Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, with family by his side following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Schuster was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Frank C. and Elayne Ende Schuster. He was a graduate in design (BFA) under R. Buckminster Fuller & Applied Behavioral Science (MS) from Southern Illinois University with postgraduate study in architecture.

He also served as a professor in higher education for 16 years. Schuster was the founder & president of the Visual Marketing Group, Inc. His passions of living and building retail brands stretch across the country. He had an unwavering dedication and devotion to – what he deeply believed – an essential banking industry and community. 

In addition to his parents, Schuster is preceded in death by his sister, Lynette Pratt.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Alice Schuster; daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Russ Meier; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Amanda Schuster; grandchildren, Abby Schuster and Frank Schuster; other relatives and loving friends.

A mass of celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, GA 30066. The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 27 at Lakeside Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
