In Memory: Shirley Hill, Former Lockheed Martin Secretary

The following obituary was submitted by Lakeside Funeral Home:

Shirley G. Hill, 77, of Woodstock, passed peacefully on Jan. 3, 2014, at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hill was born in Calhoun on Jan. 5, 1937 to the late Homer Goss and Gladys Mae Hall. She graduated from North Georgia College with a bachelor's degree in business and spent most of her life residing in Marietta and Woodstock.

Shirley enjoyed traveling after retiring as a secretary from Lockheed GA. Martin Co. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church and Sunday school at First Baptist Church of Woodstock where she was an active member.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Bob Hill of Woodstock; step-daughter; Dorothy (Ted) Bremer; step grandchildren; Tad Bremer, Theresa Bremer; brothers; Bernard (Nancy) Goss, Paul (Susie) Goss; sister; Gloria Bethune; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5 at Lakeside Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Ellison (Former Pastor of East Side Baptist Church) and Rev. Bill Wuth (FBCW) officiating.

Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family received friends on Saturday at Lakeside Funeral Home.
