In Memory: Shirley W. Dilbeck, 70

Dilbeck passed away at her home after an extended illness.

Shirley W. Dilbeck, 70, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister died Dec. 8, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Dilbeck was born in Cartersville on Aug. 26, 1943, to the late Rev. Frank R. Weaver and Claudine Cochran Weaver. Shirley was a homemaker and a loving and kind woman and will be missed by all who knew her. She was also a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 54 ½ years, Jim Dilbeck of Acworth; sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Sheila Dilbeck of Woodstock and Brad and Pat Dilbeck of Cartersville; daughter, April Huggins of Acworth; grandchildren, Lauren Dilbeck of Doraville, Tyler Dilbeck and his wife, Jillian of Canton, Brandon Dilbeck and his wife Christina of Waleska, Brittany Sullivan and her husband Greg of Ranger, Makayla Meador and Jamie Meador both of Acworth; great grandson, Levi Dilbeck of Waleska; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Edwin and Johnnie Weaver of Jasper; and numerous other relatives and loving friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Acworth with Rev. Thomas Wheeler, Rev. David Abernathy and Rev. Edwin Weaver officiatings. Interment followed at the church cemetery

The family received friends on Monday and Tuesday at Lakeside Funeral Home.
