Obituary: Jack L. Scott, 78

Scott was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Timothy Lutheran Church.

The following obituary is from Roswell Funeral Home:

Jack L. Scott, 78, of Woodstock, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013. Scott, born in Gilman City, Missouri, retired from The Freeman Companies of Dallas, Texas, in 2000 at which time he returned to Georgia to spend his retirement years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. 

Jack enjoyed playing bridge on a weekly basis, was an avid reader and a dedicated fan of baseball, football and golf. He received great pleasure from his many travels across the United States and throughout Europe. Jack was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Judee Williams Scott; son, Sean David Scott, his wife Janet and their son Derek of Anderson, SC; brother Jerry Scott (Linda) of Maryville, MO; sister Doris Taylor of Lathrop, MO; brothers-in-law Jacque Williams (Dawn) of Woodstock; Joeff (Shawn) Williams of Mocksville, NC and many special nieces, nephews, and good friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Billy Scott and sister Betty Simmons.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home. A reception beginning at noon will be held at the funeral home prior to the service. The family received friends on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
