Woodstock, Are You Ready to Wing and Rock This Weekend?

Wing and Rock Fest this weekend. Trust us, it's all the rage.

WOODSTOCK,Ga--If you didn't get your fix of music, sun and chicken wings on Memorial Day, you are in luck. Today, Friday May 31st marks the start of the 8th annual Wing and Rock Fest downtown. For the next three days, Woodstock will celebrate the most overlooked, delicious part of the chicken: the wing.

Last year's festival brought over 25,000 wing and music lovers to Woodstock City
Park, and 5,000 more are expected this weekend said the event's organizer Shane
Aubrey of USA Entertainment.

Though crowds will hover around 30,000 this weekend, there will be plenty of wings to satisfy those anxious taste buds. In addition to the festival's cash-prize
WingZone wing eating contest, the less adventurous can also ring in this wing
filled weekend by purchasing tickets in $5, $10 and $20 packages for $1 per
wing, good for use at all wing vendors during the festival.

Wing vendors include over 24 restaurants from around the area, in addition to five booths for children. “Tons of kid’s games,” said Aubrey including booths from the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Hawks.

And in the off chance that wings do not make your mouth sing—or if you are a
vegetarian—the opportunity to hear some top-notch Def Leppard, Eagles, and Van Halen cover bands might make you think twice about coming out this weekend. Bands will start tonight May 31st at 6 and will play through the weekend until Sunday, June 2nd at 4 P.M. on two stages.
