Cherokee Firefighter Promoted to Sergeant

Sgt. Mark Alexander was promoted to his current rank in a ceremony held earlier this week in Canton.

A firefighter with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant. 

Mark Alexander was promoted in a ceremony at the Cherokee County Administration Building in Canton. 

Alexander, who works at Station 9 in north Canton, started with the fire department on February 14th, 2006.  He currently resides in Fort Oglethorpe with his wife Amanda and his daughter Alexis.
