Cherokee Promotes Another Firefighter to Sergeant

Another Cherokee County firefighter has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Frank Madonna was promoted to the rank during a ceremony held earlier this week at the Cherokee County Administrative Offices in Canton. 

He's the third Cherokee firefighter in the last two months to have been promoted to the rank of sergeant. The agency in Septemberpromoted Phillip Carlisle and Kevin Hamilton to the same rank. 

Madonna, who works out of Fire Station 21 near Ball Ground, has been with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services since September 2007. He and wife Suzy have one son and they live in Canton.
