Cherokee Sheriff's Office Recognizes Promoted Deputies

Twelve deputies were recently promoted and were publicly recognized on Tuesday.

Cherokee County Sheriff Roger Garrison on Tuesday publicly acknowledged twelve deputies who were recently promoted.

The deputies were recognized during the Cherokee County Commission meeting on Feb. 5.Β 

Garrison pinned the employees' new collar brass while the commissioners, citizens and families of the employees watched from the audience.

Those who were recently promoted were: Capt. Tommy Pinyan, Capt. Bill Smith, Lt. John New, Lt. Mark Anderson, Sgt. Joseph Pelletier, Sgt. David Barone, Sgt. Casey McLeod, Sgt. Kim Brown, Cpl. Lee Stewart, Cpl. Derrick Voss, Cpl. Steven Prescott and Cpl. Garrett Carter.
