UPDATE: Runaway Children Return Home

Acworth residents Kimberly Nicole Ayala, 13, and Samuel Meadors, 11, were last seen together Tuesday evening.

UPDATE at 4:33 p.m.: Kimberly Nicole Ayala and Samuel Meadors are now back at home and are okay. 

"Both juveniles have been charged with runaway and will remain in the custody of their parents," said Cherokee Sheriff's Office Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker.

Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help them locate two children who are believed to be runaways.

Acworth residents Kimberly Nicole Ayala, 13, and Samuel Meadors, 11, were seen together at around 10 p.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Jay Baker with the sheriff's office.

Kimberly was last seen wearing dark blue shorts and a black t-shirt. She has brown hair with highlights, brown eyes and pierced ears. Samuel was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with a hood and black pants with an S patch on the backside. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Both children live in the Hidden Falls Mobile Home Park off Bells Ferry Road, and Baker said detectives believe the children ran away from home. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911.
