Cherokee Woman Kidnapped

Lisa Bode's car was found on the Cherokee County line on I-575 southbound.

A Ball Ground woman call Cherokee 911 at approximately 2 p.m. today saying she had been kidnapped, and detectives are asking for your help.

Lisa Bode, 44, told dispatchers she was put in the trunk of gold car by a white male after her car broke down on I-575 near the Cherokee–Pickens County line. She said he then drove her south on I-575, said Lt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee Sheriff's Office.

Officials found Bode’s black Ford Explorer on I-575 southbound on the Cherokee County line, Baker said.
