Driver in Critical Condition

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and Woodstock Fire and Rescue responded to an accident on Highway 92 around 4 p.m. Monday.

Two drivers involved in an accident on Highway 92 near the Colony Center Drive intersection were transported to the hospital right before the tornado sirens a little after 4 p.m. Monday.

A 48-year-old female is in critical condition with fractures to both arms and lacerations to her face at North Fulton Hospital. She was entrapped in her Toyota Camry and had to be extricated, said Tim Cavender, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services spokesman.

Cherokee Fire and also found a male appearing to be in his 20s driving a Ford Escapade. He was in stable condition and transported to Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Cavender said.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
