Family Searches for Missing Daughter

The family of Maggie Adams, 16, said they believe she may be headed toward Woodstock although she was last seen at her high school, Cobb Performing Learning Center.

A West Cobb family is asking for help in finding their missing teenager.

“We’re concerned for her safety,” said Sally Miller, mother of 16-year-old Maggie Adams.

Adams has been missing since April 10, when she was last seen at her high school, Cobb Performing Learning Center on Joyner Avenue in Marietta.

It’s from the school that the family has the only clue about Adams’ possible whereabouts.

“The only information we have so far is some of the kids at her school said she mentioned something about Woodstock," Miller said, adding the family doesn't know anyone in the Cherokee County city.

Adams was at the Cobb Youth Detention Center a few weeks ago, and it’s possible she met someone there, Miller said.

The family lives in the Rosemont neighborhood off Dallas Highway.

Miller asks that anyone who spots her daughter call her at 770-689-7840 or 911. Adams is listed by police as a runaway, Miller said.
