Man Killed Inside Home Near Woodstock

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered Sunday evening.

Authorities believe a man who was found fatally shot inside his home near Woodstock was not a victim of a random crime.

Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office are investigating the death of Christopher Pierce, 47, who was found shot to death Sunday evening inside his home at 147 Misty Hollow Way near Woodstock, Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said.

Deputies were called to the home after the victim, who lived alone, was discovered by his father. Baker noted it appears the man was shot inside the home.
