Man In Critical Condition After Early Morning Shooting Near Midtown - Midtown Patch

A 22-year-old man is reportedly in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital after being attacked and shot in a parking lot near Midtown early Thursday morning.

According to Atlanta Police spokesperson Kim Jones, at around 12:40 a.m. two men were looking for their car parked at the Cityscape at Midtown apartments when they were approached by two men. Visit Midtown Patch for more on this story. 

School Paraprofessional Arrested In Forsyth County - Cumming Patch

A paraprofessional at Riverwatch Middle School in south Forsyth County has been arrested and charged with one count of sexual battery against a minor, according to authorities.

Marvin Shane Pilcher, 26, of Old Atlanta Road, in Suwanee was brought into custody today [Wednesday] and is currently being held in theForsyth County Detention Center with no bond. Visit Cumming Patch for more on this story. 

Deputy Wounded, Suspect Killed In Clayton County Shootout - Atlanta Jounral-Constitution 

A Clayton County sheriff’s deputy was wounded and a suspect killed Thursday morning in a shootout near Jonesboro High School.

Pit Bull Mauls 5-Year-Old Girl in Griffin - My Fox Atlanta

A 5-year-old girl that was attacked by a pit bull Wednesday is recovering at an area hospital.

Police say they were forced to shoot and kill the dog. Two neighbors, Dewayne Warner and Nicholas White, said that they heard screams and saw three dogs attacking the girl in her backyard. Visit My Fox Atlanta for more on this story
