The Woodstock Police Department is asking the public to help them locate what they've determined to be a "runaway/unruly" teenager.

Eric Festner, 17, left his home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 9, the agency said in a press release.

Eric is believed to have left home on foot and is possibly carrying a maroon backpack that has "Woodstock High School Wrestling" written on it. He also possibly has a few items of clothing such as several pairs of kaki shorts, shirts and a Destin, Florida, tank top.

Eric's family has posted to various Facebook pages, asking the public to help them locate him. A flier has also been circulated in and around Woodstock.

Eric stands around 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs around 140 pounds, has shaggy brown hair, brown eyes and acne scars along his face.

Eric has been entered into the state’s system as a missing person.

Anyone who sees Eric is asked to call 911 to have an officer make contact with him and to also call the Cherokee County Dispatch Center at 678-493-4080.
