Woodstock Police Looking For "Runaway" Teenager

The Woodstock Police Department said Eric Festner left home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 9.

The Woodstock Police Department is asking the public to help them locate what they've determined to be a "runaway/unruly" teenager. 

Eric Festner, 17, left his home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 9, the agency said in a press release. 

Eric is believed to have left home on foot and is possibly carrying a maroon backpack that has "Woodstock High School Wrestling" written on it. He also possibly has a few items of clothing such as several pairs of kaki shorts, shirts and a Destin, Florida, tank top.  

Eric's family has posted to various Facebook pages, asking the public to help them locate him. A flier has also been circulated in and around Woodstock. 

Eric stands around 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs around 140 pounds, has shaggy brown hair, brown eyes and acne scars along his face. 

Eric has been entered into the state’s system as a missing person.

Anyone who sees Eric is asked to call 911 to have an officer make contact with him and to also call the Cherokee County Dispatch Center at 678-493-4080.
