Police: Woodstock Man Had 14 Pounds of Marijuana in Vehicle

The Platte County Sheriff's Office pulled over Daniel D. Teuscher for a traffic stop and later found the drugs.

A routine traffic stop turned into a marijuana bust for law enforcement officials in Platte County, Missouri — and landed a Woodstock man behind bars. 

The Platte County Sheriff's Office arrested Daniel D. Teuscher, 24, of Woodstock, and charged him with distribution of a controlled substance after deputies found 14-pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

According to The Kansas City Star, sheriff deputies pulled over Teushcer on Tuesday on Interstate 29 near Mexico City Avenue for a "lane violation."

A press release from the agency noted a "consent search" was done and deputies discovered the pot. He remains at the Platte County Jail with a $25,000 bond.
