Part of Cherokee County were hit with severe weather Thursday evening as the metro Atlanta area was placed on various thunderstorm and tornado warnings. 

Users on the Woodstock-Towne Lake, Canton-Sixes Patch and Holly Springs-Hickory Flat Patch's Facebook pages have reported trees down, gas pumps ripped from the ground and funnel clouds.
