Stepson Arrested for Stealing $20,000

A Ball Ground man was arrested for stealing $20,000 from his stepfather’s business, Pinnacle Actuation.

Patrick Allen Harris, 40, was charged with felony theft by taking Tuesday by . More than a week earlier on July 31, officers responded to a possible theft at the Bell Park Drive business.

The business owner and business employees reported to work to find the front door unsecured, and the office ransacked to make it appear as though a burglary took place, said Brittany Duncan, spokeswoman for Woodstock Police Department.

Harris was seen at Pinnacle Actuation after hours in his wife’s vehicle on surveillance cameras.

He confessed to detectives at a later date, and only $12,900 was recovered.
