Sunday Morning Fire Destroys Home

No injuries were reported from the fire.

A Woodstock home was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning, according to officials.

County firefighters arrived at the one-story home at 101 Old Mackey Road at approximately 3 a.m. to find smoke and flames coming from the roof, said Tim Cavender, spokesman for Cherokee Fire and EMS.

β€œThe house was completely gutted by the early morning fire,” Cavender said.

Nobody was living in the home at the time and the structure was completely empty, said Capt. Kerry Hughes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
