Man Cashes $7,000 with Fake Checks
Officials are working with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office in this counterfeit check investigation.
The is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a metro-Atlanta counterfeit check investigation.
in Woodstock, Cartersville, Kennesaw, Acworth, Cumming, Lawrenceville and Alpharetta are among the locations the suspect, a black male, has cashed counterfeit checks, said Lt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee Sheriff's Office. Approximately 10 checks have been cashed for a total of roughly $7,000.
The suspect's image has been captured on several Walmart security cameras.

The sheriff’s office is assisting the Tuscaloosa County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office with the investigation because the account numbers of the fake checks represent an account at the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
If anyone recognizes the suspect, they are urged to contact Tuscaloosa Sheriff’s Office Investigators at 205-464-8646.
