Three Financial Fraud Cases Come to a Close

Woodstock man uses company car to sell company tools in exchange for drugs.

Three financial fraud cases came to a close Monday thanks to the Woodstock Police Investigators. All three men were charged with financial transaction card fraud in three unrelated cases in different cities. 

Chance Durand Anderson, 22, of Woodstock, allegedly sold tools belonging to his employer in exchange for drugs in his company vehicle while also using his employer’s company gasoline card during those travels in Metro-Atlanta, said spokeswoman Brittany Duncan.

Anderson admitted to using his employer’s gasoline card to fill the cars of drug dealers at Woodstock gas stations. He is in the custody of the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

Aaron Jacklin, 27, of Acworth, was charged and arrested with financial transaction card theft as well as financial transaction card fraud after he used the debit card of a Woodstock female acquaintance without her authority to purchase a Play Station 3, two video games and other electronic games at the Kennesaw Target and Best Buy. Investigators recovered all the items, Duncan said.

William James Wilder, 39, a truck driver from Decatur, was also charged with financial transaction card theft as well as financial transaction card fraud after he stole a credit card from his Woodstock co-driver.

Wilder rented vehicles with more than $500 in charges from National Rent-A-Car Nov. 12, 2010 and Dec. 18, 2010. He also made a $237.32 payment on his Sprint cell phone.

Duncan said Wilder’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, and he also has warrants for his arrest in Florida and Americus for Larceny and Insufficient Funds respectively.
