Two Chick-Fil-A Employees Arrested in Robbery

Two men have been charged with robbing the Chick-Fil-A on Eagle Drive in Towne Lake.

Two Woodstock teenagers have been charged with robbing their place of employment.

Both Jeremy Huffman and Jacob Rybak, both 19 and reside in Woodstock, are both being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with no bond in connection to holding up the Chick-Fil-A on Eagle Drive in Towne Lake, according to a press release from the Cherokee Sheriff's Office.

At around 7 p.m. Thursday, the manager of the restaurant on Eagle Drive said Huffman entered the restaurant just before the place was set to close and "lingered while the manager completed his closing duties," Capt. Joe Perkins said in a press release.

Huffman then allegedly pulled out a revolver, pointed it at the manager and demanded he hand over money from a safe.

The manager then gave Huffman an undisclosed amount of cash and Huffman left the restaurant on foot.

Sheriff's deputies began canvassing the area for the suspects. The deputies early in the search located Rybak, another employee of the restaurant, in the woods along Towne Lake Parkway. Detectives determined Rybak was an accomplice in the crime and took him into custody.

Shortly after midnight, deputies then located Huffman at his home on Fieldstone Way in the Towne Lake Hills East neighborhood and attempted to contact him to no avail.

Then at 6 a.m. Friday, Cherokee County S.W.A.T. entered the home and took Huffman into custody without incident.

Detectives recovered the cash and revolver they believe was part of the robbery.
Huffman is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and obstruction of an officer while Rybak is facing armed robbery charges.
