Woman Charged with Theft, Forgery

A Woodstock woman stole checks from the individual she has been renting a room from since May.

A collective $120 in stolen checks ended with a $5,300 bond for a Woodstock woman Monday.

Megan Elizabeth Crutchfield, 20, was arrested and charged with theft by taking and two counts of forgery in the first degree after she was caught stealing two checks and cashing them for $60 each, said Brittany Duncan, spokeswoman for the .

Crutchfield has been renting a room in the victim’s house since May.
