At around 10 p.m. that night, the clerk said told the suspect he was preparing to close the store. Foster allegedly walked to the counter, pulled out a semi-automatic black handgun from his jacket and demanded the clerk to hand over money from the cash register. Foster then fled the store after the clerk complied with his request.

Foster was on the run for nearly two years, but was apprehended in August with the help of the Georgia State Patrol.
