Woodstock PD Offers Self-Defense Course

The free class will be held next Saturday.

A free self-defense course will be offered by the Woodstock Police Department next Saturday.

The department will host the course from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday Nov. 17 at City Hall Annex on Highway 92.

Woodstock residents are invited to participate in the course, which will be taught by Woodstock officers in partnership with National Self Defense Company. The course will provide students with one-on-one instruction in various self-defense techniques. 

Space is limited and slots are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Students must be at least 14 years old to participate. All participants must also sign a waiver and those under 18 are required to have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.
