Woodstock PD To Offer Self-Defense Course

The free class will be held later this month.

The Woodstock Police Department will host a free self-defense class later this month.

The course will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 27 at City Hall Annex. The annex is located at 12453 Highway 92, directly across the street from Walmart Supercenter.

Open to Woodstock citizens, the course will be taught by Woodstock police officers in partnership with the National Self Defense Company. It will provide participants with one-on-one instruction on various defense techniques.

Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Students must be at least 14 years old to participate and must sign a waiver. Youth participants are required to have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
