The Woodstock Police Department needs the public help in solving a theft that hit a nonprofit organization that caters to pregnant women.
The HOPE Center, located just off Highway 92, was the target of thieves on Wednesday morning, according to CBS Atlanta.
The suspects allegedly cut the lock on the facility and drove off with the trailer. The trailer was stocked with five baby cribs, Store Manager Monti Price told the news outlet.
Woodstock Police Spokesperson Brittany Duncan said the theft was reported to the agency at 9:15 Wednesday morning. The trailer is described as a 2002 enclosed model with the clinic's logo on it. The Georgia tag reads: TL6Y131
Duncan said staff members believe the theft occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday. Along with the five cribs, Duncan said the trailer also contained mattresses for each crib.
Investigators are following up on leads in the case and Duncan said anyone with information is asked to call the department at (770) 592-6030.
The HOPE Center, a nonprofit medical center that gives advice and resources to less fortunate women who become pregnant, has been in operation for 20 years and also has a thrift store at its location.
