Beach, Rogers Debate in Milton Over State Senate Seat on July 10

The North Fulton & Friends Tea Party will sponsor the debate at Crooked Creek HOA clubhouse.

The two Republican candidates in the state Senate District 21 race will take part in a debate in Milton sponsored by North Fulton & Friends Tea Party on Tuesday, July 10.

North Fulton & Friends Tea Party will hold the candidate debate at the Crooked Creek Homeowners Association Club House located at 14250 Creek Club Drive in Milton.

GA Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers and his opponent, Brandon Beach, North Fulton Chamber of Commerce president and a GDOT Board member, will debate the issues of the campaign beginning at 7 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this free event by the Tea Party group.

Moderators for this debate will be Karen Handel, former Georgia Secretary of State and Fulton County Commission Chairman, along with Jim Galloway, well-known Atlanta Journal Constitution political columnist.

North Fulton & Friends Tea Party Lead Committeeperson Michael Fitzgerald said in the group's news release, “This year is the most important election in our nation’s history, it is also a very important election in the State of Georgia.  We have to elect the best candidates for the serious challenges ahead.”

Tom Cork, another committeeperson, said, “I am excited that NFFTea was able to bring this important debate to the voters, and I know it will be an event the voters will not want to miss.”

With the debate, the North Fulton & Friends Tea Party members say they are continuing a well respected tradition of presenting a civic service for the community to hear high-profile political candidate debates and forums in a neutral setting during this important election year, free of charge.
