Cherokee Commission Will Consider Hames Road Subdivision
EAH Investments, LLC wants to build a subdivision along Hames and Jamerson Roads near the Cobb County line.
The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners is set to consider a request from a company to rezone property in order to accommodate a proposed subdivision.
The commissioners will vote on the rezoning request during its meet tonight at 6 p.m. The meeting will be preceded by a work session, which gets underway at 3 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the county administration building in Canton.
EAH Investments, LLC is asking the county to rezone 53.44 acres at 295 Hames Road and 2235 Jamerson Road from R-20 to R-15. The location is near the Cobb County line and, if approved, would bring over 100 single family homes to the area.
