Cherokee To Close Roads for Repairs
Cherokee County will close a portion of Old Highway 5 and East Cherokee Drive on April 1 for repairs.
Cherokee County's Roads and Bridges Department will close portions of two roads next week for repairs.
The agency will close Old Highway 5 at the Little River Bridge between the city limits of Woodstock and Holly Springs at 8 a.m. April 1 through April 2 to seal the bridge joints.
It will also close East Cherokee Drive at the railroad crossing near Ball Ground Highway in Ball Ground starting at 8 a.m. April 1 through April 4.

Detours will be posted in the areas of both thoroughfares to help residents navigate their way around the closures.
The road closures will not impact school bus transportation as the Cherokee County School District will be on spring break next week.
