'Connect Woodstock' Allows Residents To Report Problems

The city of Woodstock has partnered with a company to offer an easy way for its citizens to report problems and issues.

The city of Woodstock has made it easier to communicate with its residents.

The city government has rolled out its Connect Woodstock initiative, its official civic engagement tool that will allow residents to stay in touch with city officials. 

Residents will have access to important city information and can also submit service requests and report issues.

They will also be able to track their requests online and via their mobile phones.

The city enlisted the services of PublicStuff, an innovative CRM software company, to create the app and digital communications solution. 

Here's how it works for residents:

  1. See something that needs to be fixed?
  2. Submit a service request including your location and even a photo via your iPhone, Blackberry and Android device or via the website. Citizens can also submit requests using any mobile phone that has internet access and SMS text messaging.
  3. The relevant city staff member will receive the request and resolve the problem quickly and efficiently.

Users can also add comments to further describe the issue they or a fellow citizen have reported.

Residents can easily track their requests, support other requests and receive status updates from the city.

With the program, Woodstock is able to manage and improve the efficiency in which they respond to service requests.

City staff are also able to utilize PublicStuff’s professional software system to create widgets, customizable information important to their citizens including city happenings, emergency weather alerts and city administration information. 

PublicStuff also allows residents to report an issue to city staff in over 16 languages, including Spanish, and comes with a real-time voice translation feature.
