Council Considers ATV Ordinance

The Woodstock City Council will meet at the City Annex in a special meeting at 7 p.m.

The  will hear the second reading of the ATV ordinance prohibiting motorized vehicles on the Greenprints trails.

This new ordinance will grant enforcement capabilities to public safety officers and regulate the operations of 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers, off road motorcycles and golf carts being operated on these trails because of recent conflicts between bicyclists.

The second reading of a recommendation to extend the city's moratorium on pain clinics will also be heard tonight at the work session.

The staff is requesting a three-month extension that would expire Oct. 26 to further review the "pill mill" situation. The issuance of licenses to area clinics was approved on July 26, 2010, and was set to expire July 26.
